MrBeast Shares Ranbir, Hardik Pics as Ramayana Opens Nov 6

Jimmy Donaldson, the creator known as MrBeast, has finally shared his Indian scrapbook — and it is pure filmi crossover energy. Nearly a week after landing in Mumbai for a Ramayana promotional event, the YouTube star posted photos with Ranbir Kapoor, cricketer Hardik Pandya and others, writing, “Had an amazing trip to India.”

The moment that brought the worlds together

The Mumbai showcase was the first big look at producer Namit Malhotra’s two-part adaptation. On stage, MrBeast joined Ramayana stars Ranbir, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey as the team presented the epic, and he was seen joining a chant of “Jai Shri Ram.”

That one image — a global creator inside a faith-rooted Indian story — is exactly the signal this campaign seems to want to send.

What we know about Ramayana: Rise of a Legend

The first instalment now has an official title and a release window. The story begins with Lord Ram’s early years, moves through his marriage to Sita and exile, and takes the narrative to Sita’s abduction by Ravana, played by Yash.

  • Part 1: Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, in cinemas November 6, just in time for Diwali.
  • Part 2: Scheduled for Diwali 2027.
  • Big names: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey and Yash.

The Rs 1.67 crore question

Variety India has reported that MrBeast is available for live and virtual appearances, with fees starting around USD 200,000 (about Rs 1.67 crore). There is no official confirmation of what he was paid for the Mumbai event, so treat that number as a market rate, not a confirmed invoice.

Even so, the association has already fuelled talk that the makers are looking beyond the diaspora — especially at the US audience MrBeast can reach in a single upload.

A crossover strategy worth watching

Festival releases often lean on stars and songs; adding a creator of MrBeast’s size is a newer bet. It borrows a global audience before the film has to win them over.

But reach is not the same as intent. The opening weekend will show whether a YouTube audience becomes a ticket-buying audience, especially outside the Hindi belt.

Why this matters for fans

The promotion is loud, but the film still has to deliver. A Diwali release is a high-stakes window for a family epic, and the first film’s summary suggests a spectacle-driven retelling rather than a modern revision. If the global buzz converts into curiosity, November 6 could become a true event opening.

For now, the practical move is simple: mark November 6, watch how the campaign builds after this crossover, and ignore any fee figure that has not been officially confirmed.
