Shah Rukh Khan Pegged at Rs 12,000 Crore, 4x Salman, Aamir

Market analyst JS Khepar pegs Shah Rukh Khan's net worth at Rs 12,000-12,500 crore, about four times Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan Pegged at Rs 12,000 Crore, 4x Salman, Aamir

Bollywood’s favourite parlor game—who among the Khans is truly the richest—just got a fresh set of numbers. Market analyst JS Khepar, better known as Jassi Tech, laid out his estimates on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, and the headline is stark: Shah Rukh Khan is not merely ahead, he is roughly four times ahead of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Khepar pegged Shah Rukh’s net worth at Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 12,500 crore. By his math, Salman sits at Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 3,200 crore, Akshay Kumar at Rs 2,700 crore to Rs 2,800 crore, and Aamir at Rs 1,900 crore to Rs 2,000 crore. The exact figures are estimates, but the gap they describe is the real story.

Where Shah Rukh’s wealth sits

Khepar’s case rests on a portfolio that goes far beyond film fees and endorsements. Shah Rukh’s known assets include the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, the sea-facing Mumbai home Mannat, an apartment in Shree Amrit Society on Carter Road, properties in London and Dubai, and Red Chillies Entertainment along with its VFX studio.

That ownership mix matters. Films can be hit or miss from one release to the next, but a sports franchise, a production banner and prime real estate can compound over years. Khepar’s argument is that these are precisely the assets that have widened Shah Rukh’s lead.

“He’s the king! I don’t think his net worth is less than Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 12,500 crore. That’s why he’s the king,” Khepar said.

He also called Shah Rukh the “badshah” of both films and business, pointing to KKR and the quality of his investments.

A cricket-style reading of the Khans

To explain the different career and investment styles, Khepar reached for cricket analogies:

  • Aamir Khan is the Test player — selective, class-driven and committed to the “Mr. Perfectionist” brand even when a film does not work.
  • Salman Khan is the one-day cricketer, a dependable long-format crowd puller.
  • Akshay Kumar is the T20 player — high-volume, quick-moving and, in Khepar’s words, a “khiladi” across multiple sectors.

Khepar added that Akshay would have “aced” a T5 format too, crediting his fitness and discipline for a schedule that packs in several releases a year.

Salman’s real-estate playbook

Where Shah Rukh spreads across businesses, Salman’s edge, in Khepar’s telling, is Mumbai real estate. “Salman has a Midas’ touch,” he said, adding that Salman turns “mud to gold” in the city’s property market.

Salman’s known holdings include Galaxy Apartments at Bandra Bandstand, properties on Carter Road and in Worli, and a farmhouse in Panvel spread over roughly 150 acres.

Read the numbers with an asterisk

No outsider can know a celebrity’s exact net worth. Valuations shift with asset prices, debt and private deals, so these figures are best treated as a directional snapshot rather than a balance sheet.

For fans, though, the conversation offers a clearer lens: Bollywood’s biggest fortunes are increasingly built on ownership — teams, studios, property and production infrastructure — rather than acting income alone. The next time you track a star’s career, watch where they invest, not just what their film collects.
