Sonakshi Sinha’s Tu Hai Meri Kiran trailer teases dark obsession

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's Tu Hai Meri Kiran trailer promises a tense psychological thriller about love, obsession and shifting realities.

Sonakshi and Zaheer's Tu Hai Meri Kiran teases obsession

When a love story ends with the word “forever,” it is usually meant as a vow. In the first trailer for Tu Hai Meri Kiran, that word lands more like a warning.

A connection that turns possessive

The trailer, released on Tuesday, October 6, introduces Sonakshi Sinha as Kiran and Zaheer Iqbal as Samar. Samar believes the two share something rare. Kiran, however, is shown asking him to leave her alone and stop calling. Instead of backing off, Samar pushes closer, and his attention begins to feel like control.

Director Karan Rawal keeps the mood deliberately uncertain. Scenes slip between what is happening and what Kiran may be made to believe. Producer Vishal Rana said the film explores “one-sided love, obsession and the dangerous consequences that can follow”, while leaving audiences to question “what is real, what is imagined and where the story is headed”.

The final beat changes everything

The trailer’s most chilling moment is saved for the end. With Kiran unconscious and injured, Samar calmly promises to take care of her “forever”. It is the kind of line that could pass as devotion, but the framing makes it feel like a threat.

That is the real pitch here. Rather than promising a conventional love story with a thriller twist, the trailer positions Tu Hai Meri Kiran as a film about perception, fixation and the danger of refusing to let go.

What the leads are saying

Sonakshi Sinha described the film as “a very different space” for her, adding that she was drawn to its unsettling world and the layers in her character. Zaheer Iqbal said the story’s exploration of one-sided love and its unexpected turn pulled him in, along with the suspense that runs through the film.

It is a promising shift for both actors. For Sonakshi, a psychological thriller offers a chance to play a woman fighting for her own version of reality. For Zaheer, the role of Samar could take his screen presence into darker territory.

Release details at a glance

  • The film: Tu Hai Meri Kiran, directed by Karan Rawal
  • The leads: Sonakshi Sinha as Kiran and Zaheer Iqbal as Samar
  • The genre: Psychological thriller about love, obsession and shifting realities
  • The release: In cinemas on October 23, 2026

What to watch for

The trailer suggests someone may be manipulating Kiran’s perception, which raises the stakes beyond a simple stalker plot. The real question is whether the film can sustain that ambiguity once the mystery starts to unravel. If it can, this could be the kind of twisty theatrical release that rewards audiences who see it without spoilers.

Until then, the trailer has done its job: it has made a love story feel dangerous, and it has made one word — “forever” — sound like a promise you would run from.
