Teja Sajja Hosts 20 Celebs in The Traitors Telugu
Prime Video brings the global trust game The Traitors to Telugu with Teja Sajja hosting 20 celebrities across 10 episodes from Oct 15.

Prime Video is taking one of the world’s most widely adapted reality formats to Telugu viewers. The Traitors Telugu, hosted by Teja Sajja, puts 20 celebrities into a game where trust itself becomes the danger. The series streams exclusively on Prime Video in Telugu with English subtitles, starting on October 15.
Produced by SOL Production, the 10-episode season arrives with new episodes every Thursday at 12 PM. The first three episodes drop together, giving viewers time to understand the rules before the suspicion takes over.
What makes The Traitors different
Sajja, who says he said yes to this show faster than any other project in his career, describes it as closer to a murder mystery than a conventional celebrity reality programme. “It will give you the feel of watching a murder mystery,” he told the media ahead of the launch.
The host is not a ringmaster in the usual sense. Sajja compares the role to playing a character in a film, or being a class leader who must explain the rules clearly. In the Telugu version, that role carries extra weight because he knows several contestants personally, including Pragathi, Harshavardhan and Chinmayee.
The format has already travelled to 25 countries and 25 languages. Sajja watched the Hindi edition hosted by Karan Johar in two days and was drawn in by the concept, which made him confident about bringing it to Telugu.
How to watch and play along
- 20 celebrities from different walks of life enter the game.
- 10 episodes stream weekly, starting Thursday, October 15 at 12 PM.
- First three episodes arrive together to explain the rules.
- Telugu audio with English subtitles on Prime Video.
Because the game hinges on deduction, Sajja suggests the early episodes work like a rulebook. Viewers do not need any prior knowledge of the franchise, only the patience to learn how the Traitors game is played before deciding who to suspect.
Who should watch
Sajja believes the show is built for the whole family, saying it can appeal to viewers as young as seven. He points to the format’s global popularity among children as evidence of how accessible the mystery is, even though the social stakes around trust are very adult.
For Telugu audiences, this is also being positioned as a first: a reality show on a scale not previously attempted in the language, with a local host and familiar local faces anchoring a proven international format. Whether you come for the game or the stars, the question remains the same: who is loyal, and who is lying?
