Least Eligible Bachelor review: 3/5 for a breezy Telugu comedy

Harsha Chemudu anchors a six-episode Telugu comedy that is brisk and funny before a stretched second half. Here is our full Least Eligible Bachelor review.

Least Eligible Bachelor: 3/5 for charm and laughs

The Telugu OTT space gets another light comedy this week. Least Eligible Bachelor, a six-episode web series starring Harsha Chemudu, began streaming on ETV Win and Netflix on October 9, 2026. The 123telugu review lands at 3/5, which tells you exactly what kind of watch this is: easy, funny in stretches, but not a story that reinvents anything.

Teja is a naive village guy whose father keeps pushing him toward marriage. He moves to Hyderabad looking for a job and a partner, joins an office, and ends up sharing a roof with his team lead Madhu after an unexpected turn. From there, the show tracks whether a forced live-in arrangement can become something more.

What works: Harsha and a lively comic bench

Harsha carries the show without straining for laughs. His Teja leans on expressive reactions and blank looks, and the review notes that the innocence he brings works just as well when the emotional beats arrive later. It keeps the comedy grounded rather than letting it turn cartoonish.

The supporting cast does a lot of the heavy lifting in the middle stretch. Sri Vidhya Gnanakumar is the bright spot: unfiltered, sharp and lively in scenes with Jeevan Reddy and Hyper Aadi. Hyper Aadi lands one-liners cleanly, while Jeevan Reddy’s corporate boss will feel familiar to anyone who has sat through office meetings. Aishwarya Holakkal, as the team lead with US plans, keeps her performance natural and gives the romance a little heart.

Where the series loses steam

For all the charm, the story underneath is routine. Once the early laughs settle, the plot starts filling time, and a few gags in the second half simply miss. The review’s biggest complaint is pacing: scenes in the later episodes feel stretched to reach the six-episode runtime, and the editing in the closing stretch could have been crisper.

The workplace setting is also underused. The show briefly lands in a corporate space but does not mine the everyday office banter, gossip and quirky team dynamics for humour. That feels like a missed opportunity, because office comedies live on recognition — and the series only brushes the surface before shifting focus.

Quick take

  • Series: Least Eligible Bachelor
  • Episodes: 6
  • Platforms: ETV Win and Netflix
  • Director: Babu Degala
  • 123telugu rating: 3/5

Why this matters

Telugu OTT has been leaning on light, low-commitment comedies for weekend viewing, and Least Eligible Bachelor fits that lane neatly. A 3/5 show with a strong comic ensemble can still find an audience because the promise is simple: watch a few episodes, laugh a little, and move on. The clean humour also makes it an easier pick for viewers who want comedy without edge.

Should you stream it?

Think of it as a weekend palate cleanser. If you are here for Harsha’s easy charm and the sharp supporting turns, it is worth a go. If you need a fresh story or a tight climax, lower your expectations. The review’s bottom line is simple: the performances and comic tracks are the reason to press play, not the plot.
