The Paradise hits Rs 173.23 cr worldwide after Rs 52-lakh Day 18

Nani's The Paradise added Rs 52 lakh on Day 18 for a Rs 173.23 cr worldwide gross, while Fahadh Faasil's Don't Trouble The Trouble is at Rs 5.16 cr.

The Paradise crosses Rs 173.23 cr worldwide

Nani’s Telugu action drama The Paradise is now in the box-office phase where the story moves from opening-day fireworks to hold-and-occupancy math. On Sunday, October 11, the film added Rs 52 lakh in India net collections, according to Sacnilk.

That is a 13.3% dip from Saturday’s Rs 60 lakh, and a clear sign that the third weekend is settling into a quieter rhythm. The film played 400 shows on Sunday and drew 49,213 footfalls, with overall occupancy at 20.95% in Telugu 2D screenings.

Where the audience showed up

The occupancy split explains the Sunday result without making it look worse than it is. Morning shows recorded 15.44%, afternoon screenings 18.67%, and evening shows the best of the day at 23%. Night shows cooled to 15.22%.

That evening bump is the pattern to watch: after a Rs 108.20 cr first week, the film is now relying on prime-time audiences to keep the third-week numbers moving.

A big total, a slower weekend

The Sunday number may look small, but it belongs to a film that has already done its heavy lifting. The Paradise has accumulated Rs 120.66 cr in India net collections. Its domestic gross stands at Rs 142.08 cr, and overseas collections of Rs 31.15 cr take the worldwide gross to Rs 173.23 cr.

That total was built largely in the first week. The second week added a much thinner Rs 10.83 cr, and the third Friday-to-Sunday stretch is now running under Rs 1 cr per day.

  • Day 16 (October 9): Rs 51 lakh, 518 shows, 18.2% occupancy
  • Day 17 (October 10): Rs 60 lakh, 501 shows, 20% occupancy
  • Day 18 (October 11): Rs 52 lakh, 400 shows, 20.95% occupancy

The day’s real comparison

Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil’s fantasy film Don’t Trouble The Trouble is showing how quickly a smaller release can fade. The film follows a magician who accidentally vanishes a young girl, only to discover she is a genie whose powers spiral when she gets angry. Its hook, however, has not translated into a long tail at the ticket window.

The film’s reported worldwide gross is Rs 5.16 cr, with India net collections at Rs 4.50 cr. The Telugu version has contributed Rs 4.02 cr net, while the Malayalam version has added Rs 38 lakh. After a Rs 1.44 cr opening on October 2, the Telugu run fell to Rs 68 lakh on Day 2 and Rs 65 lakh on Day 3, before dropping to Rs 3 lakh per day from October 9 to 11.

How to read these numbers

For fans tracking box office, the useful frame is to separate net collections from gross and worldwide totals. A single Sunday of Rs 52 lakh can look like a stumble, but the Rs 173.23 cr worldwide figure is the milestone that matters. The slower daily run is what a third-week hold usually looks like after a front-loaded first week.

Both films are in a slow phase at the box office, but the size of their stories is very different.
