Drishyam 3 Box Office Day 12: 18% Jump After Monday Slump

Drishyam 3 rebounds 18% on Day 12 to Rs 9.86 crore gross after a second Monday dip, keeping the Rs 350 crore domestic nett mark within reach.

Drishyam 3 rebounds 18% on Day 12

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is learning to take a punch. After a steep dip on its second Monday, the Ajay Devgn-led thriller bounced back on Tuesday, October 13, with an 18% jump in collections to Rs 9.86 crore gross.

The recovery matters because the film is now in the phase where weekday holds decide whether its domestic nett total can climb past the next big milestone: Rs 350 crore.

For those tracking the numbers closely, the Day 12 figure is a gross number, while the film’s domestic total is counted in nett terms. In Indian box-office reporting, nett collection is the total that remains after entertainment tax is deducted, while gross is the pre-tax figure. They tell different parts of the same story.

A Tuesday rebound, not a full recovery

The Day 12 number is encouraging, but it is not the whole picture. Drishyam 3’s domestic nett collection now stands at Rs 323.86 crore after the second-week update, across 186,838 shows. The film had been reported at Rs 323.50 crore nett earlier; either way, the Rs 350 crore domestic milestone is now within reach if the audience holds through the second weekend.

The milestone already in the bag

Even as the domestic chase continues, the worldwide picture has already moved. Drishyam 3 crossed Rs 500 crore globally on Monday, taking its total gross to Rs 501.80 crore. India contributed Rs 387.80 crore gross, while overseas markets added Rs 114 crore gross.

That split is worth a second look for filmi fans: domestic audiences are doing most of the heavy lifting, but the overseas number is a useful cushion for a franchise finale.

The road so far

  • Opening day, October 2: Rs 62 crore – the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career.
  • Opening weekend: Rs 176.50 crore.
  • Week one domestic nett: Rs 245.50 crore.
  • Day 12, Tuesday: Rs 9.86 crore gross, up 18% from Monday.
  • Worldwide gross: Rs 501.80 crore, with Rs 387.80 crore from India and Rs 114 crore overseas.

Why the second-week hold matters

Once a big film clears its opening week, the box-office story shifts from event audiences to repeat viewers and walk-in crowds. A solid Tuesday is a small but important signal that the film is not collapsing after the holiday rush, and that word of mouth may still be working in its favour.

For the concluding chapter of a much-loved franchise, that kind of second-week resilience is the difference between a clean hit and a long-distance blockbuster.

What to watch next

The real test is the second weekend. If Drishyam 3 can convert its weekday momentum into a strong Friday-to-Sunday hold, the Rs 350 crore domestic nett mark should fall quickly. If weekday bumps stay small, the film may still get there, but slowly. For now, the Tuesday jump gives the film back the momentum it lost on Monday.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion continues Vijay Salgaonkar’s story as the police pressure around him intensifies. Alongside Ajay Devgn, the cast includes Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. The film is backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios.
