Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s first film together now has a release date, but it arrives much later than many fans expected. The untitled Anurag Basu romantic musical will open in cinemas on April 30, 2027.

A new date, still no title

The makers announced the updated plan on October 15. The film was earlier looking at a December 2025 release, so the new date pushes it well past its original slot. The announcement reused the same image of Kartik and Sreeleela that first introduced the project, and the title remains under wraps.

In a social media post, the team said, “A new story which will stay in your heart is ready to unfold on the big screen.”

Fans responded with a mix of relief and impatience: there is finally a date, but many are asking the makers to reveal the film’s name.

For Sreeleela, it is a high-profile Hindi pairing after winning attention in the southern industries. With Pritam composing, the soundtrack could become one of the film’s biggest hooks.

But an untitled project with a long gap between announcement and release can make it harder for audiences to hold on to momentum. Keeping the title hidden has become the one detail fans keep asking about, which could turn the eventual reveal into a campaign moment of its own.

Basu had earlier told Variety India that filming had not crossed 45 days at that point and had only recently begun. He had also said in an earlier statement that the shoot was progressing well and the team believed deeply in the film.
