Suniel Shetty on Tiger Shroff firing: It could happen to anyone
Suniel Shetty says the Juhu firing on Tiger Shroff's car could have happened to anyone and shares relief that the actor is unhurt.

Suniel Shetty has responded to the gun firing on Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai with a warning that no public figure is insulated from such violence. Speaking to media at an event, he said the attack was the kind of thing that “could happen to anyone.”
A routine evening turns serious in Juhu
According to police accounts cited by ANI, the firing took place around 7 pm on October 18, as Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu. The actor escaped direct gunshot injuries. His driver was hurt in the attack and is currently recovering.
Suniel Shetty’s reaction
Shetty framed the incident as a shock to the industry, not just to one family. He described Tiger and his father, Jackie Shroff, as widely loved, and said the fact that someone as focused on sports and exercise could be targeted made the motive harder to understand.
“The whole world loves Tiger and Jackie Dada, and if something like this can happen to him, it could happen to anyone,” Shetty said, in remarks carried by ANI. He added that he was relieved Tiger himself was unhurt, and that the injured driver is on the mend.
What the police have registered so far
Mumbai Police have filed a case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. The accused were caught while travelling on a train, and further investigation is underway.
- When: Around 7 pm on October 18
- Where: Juhu, as Tiger was leaving a football club
- Who was hurt: The driver, who is recovering
- Case filed: BNS and Arms Act sections
Why this shakes fans
The shooting has rattled Hindi film circles because it changes a routine personal moment — finishing a football session — into a security flashpoint. Shetty’s reaction underlines that even top stars are not automatically safe during their personal time. For an industry that often treats star access as part of its glamour, the incident raises uncomfortable questions about how public routines can become risk points.
For fans, Tiger’s fitness routine is part of his public image. The idea that a football evening could turn dangerous is unsettling because it touches the ordinary parts of a star’s day, not just high-profile appearances. Shetty’s comment taps into that specific worry.
Tiger Shroff was last seen on screen in Baaghi 4, the A Harsha-directed action film that released in theatres in September last year, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa.
For now, the immediate concern for fans and colleagues is the driver’s recovery and a clear account of the motive. Police have not publicly shared a motive in initial updates, so the next few days will matter for how the investigation develops.
