Yash urges fans not to find faults in Ramayana before release

Yash asks audiences to watch Nitesh Tiwari's two-part epic as a whole, after producer Namit Malhotra responded to early VFX feedback.

Yash asks fans to watch Ramayana with an open mind

Yash has a simple ask for audiences ahead of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: watch the epic as a whole, not as a hunt for flaws. The actor, who plays Ravana, made the appeal at the film’s Hyderabad event, where he addressed fans across film industries.

A direct appeal from the actor

Yash did not downplay the scrutiny around the film’s visual effects. Instead, he asked fans to step back from frame-by-frame fault-finding. “Please don’t try to find small faults; VFX, this-that,” he said. “This chance won’t come again. For years. If we lose people like him now, we’ll go back.”

The “him” in that warning appears to be producer Namit Malhotra, who has been publicly responding to early social media chatter around the film. Malhotra acknowledged the team is “listening closely” to feedback, and fans soon noted changes in character design and other details.

Why this matters for a pan-India epic

Ramayana is deliberately built as a pan-India event. Yash appealed to Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi audiences: “For once, if you like the film, let’s come together and show the world.” That line frames the film as a chance for Indian cinema to close ranks, not just another star vehicle.

The scale is real:

  • First part: releases worldwide on November 5, 2026
  • Second part: scheduled for Diwali 2027
  • Cast: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana
  • Team: directed by Nitesh Tiwari, produced by Namit Malhotra

The VFX feedback loop has already moved

This is not a case of a star asking fans to ignore problems while the team does nothing. Reports say Malhotra has been monitoring trends, feedback and controversies after early video assets landed online. An official statement followed, and visible character-design changes came shortly after. So the appeal lands as the final stage of a feedback loop, not as a dodge.

For Hindi film fans, the stakes are simple: a two-part mythological epic at this scale does not arrive often, and its first impressions will set the tone for the second part. Going in with an open mind is different from grading every VFX shot on social media before the story has finished its first scene.
