Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana look: a ₹95,000 lesson in quiet luxury

Ranbir Kapoor's Hyderabad Ramayana event look paired a ₹95,000 Tisa Studio bandhgala with a rare Jacob & Co. watch and a Telugu fan moment.

Ranbir Kapoor’s ₹95,000 quiet-luxury Ramayana look

When Ranbir Kapoor walked into the Hyderabad event for the upcoming Ramayana film, the look was restrained but the message was clear: a promotional tour can be both polished and personal.

The ₹95,000 bandhgala

The actor chose a navy blue bandhgala set from Indian label Tisa Studio. ETimes has exclusively learned that the set is priced at ₹95,000, and Usaamah Siddique styled the appearance. Gold metal detailing on the jacket, straight-fit trousers and an ivory shirt kept the silhouette classic rather than flashy.

A rarer flex on the wrist

Kapoor also wore the royal-blue Jacob & Co. Epic X Sher-e-Punjab Edition, valued at ₹35.88 lakh and limited to just 50 pieces worldwide. The 44 mm titanium skeleton case and blue rubber strap carry Sikh heritage motifs, including the Ek Onkar symbol and Khanda. That is the kind of detail that rewards a second look without changing the tone of the outfit.

The emerald eagle brooch

A gold-toned eagle brooch from Anmol Jewellers, set with an emerald, gave the navy palette a small pop of colour. Black formal shoes, black-framed glasses and a groomed beard completed the look. The styling leaned on fit, texture and one well-chosen accessory instead of loud embellishment.

The look, in brief:

  • Bandhgala: Tisa Studio navy set, ₹95,000
  • Watch: Jacob & Co. Epic X Sher-e-Punjab, ₹35.88 lakh, 50 pieces worldwide
  • Brooch: Anmol Jewellers gold eagle with emerald
  • Finishing: ivory shirt, black shoes, black-framed glasses

Telugu won the room

The wardrobe may have made headlines, but the louder applause came when Kapoor addressed the audience in Telugu. He thanked fans in English, then switched languages, saying, as quoted by Hindustan Times, “Coming to Hyderabad is always special for me. Your love and affection are very valuable to me.” He later added, “I hope I have not said anything wrong.” Co-star Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, watched with a smile.

The local-language gesture matters because the film will be distributed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. Ahead of a big theatrical push, that direct connection can be as valuable as any costume choice.

The film behind the moment

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as King Dasharatha. Prime Focus Studios has mounted the film on a large scale, with a worldwide theatrical release set for November 5, 2026. Part 2 is planned for Diwali 2027.
