Drishyam 3 hits Rs 560.02 cr worldwide on day 20
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 slowed on day 20 with Rs 2.65 crore India net, but its worldwide gross reached Rs 560.02 crore with overseas support.

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion took a routine weekday dip on day 20, but the sequel’s overall box office remains one of the strongest talking points of the season. The film collected Rs 2.65 crore India net on Wednesday, October 21, a 57.6% fall from the previous day’s Rs 6.25 crore. Worldwide gross, meanwhile, has climbed to Rs 560.02 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Day 20 in numbers
The midweek decline was visible across the counters. The thriller ran across 4,616 shows with 15% occupancy, drawing 146,203 footfalls on the day.
- India net: Rs 359.75 crore total after day 20
- Domestic gross: Rs 431.02 crore
- Overseas gross: Rs 129 crore
- Worldwide gross: Rs 560.02 crore
Overseas contributed Rs 50 lakh on Wednesday, a small but useful addition to the cumulative global number.
Why the day-20 fall is not a red flag
Box office runs tend to breathe: weekend spikes are followed by Monday-to-Thursday troughs. For Drishyam 3, the third week has been uneven. Day 15 earned Rs 3.10 crore, day 16 bounced to Rs 5 crore, and day 17 touched Rs 6.25 crore before day 18 slipped to Rs 3.50 crore. Day 19 returned to Rs 6.25 crore; day 20 then settled at Rs 2.65 crore.
That pattern is common for a film in its third week, particularly when it is already playing across a wide screen count and has converted much of its opening demand.
The run so far
The first week set a strong base with Rs 245.50 crore India net. The second week added Rs 87.50 crore, helped by a Rs 26.50 crore second Saturday and Rs 22.50 crore second Sunday. Even with softer weekdays, the film’s India net has reached Rs 359.75 crore and its domestic gross Rs 431.02 crore.
For Hindi film fans, the bigger draw is the franchise
The plot brings Meera Deshmukh back into Vijay Salgaonkar’s life, this time driven by vengeance instead of due process. A senior Crime Branch officer also steps in, pushing Vijay’s alibis and mental defenses onto the back foot. Ajay Devgn leads a cast that includes Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat.
What it means for viewers
If you skipped the opening rush, the third week may actually be a comfortable time to catch the film. With occupancy at 15% on Wednesday, there is more elbow room in halls, and the movie is still running across thousands of shows. The trade-off is that you may not get the same packed-house opening energy.
The figures are compiled from public and industry sources and remain approximate until official studio data is finalised.
