Tiger Shroff to resume Lag Jaa Gale after Diwali under guard

Tiger Shroff is set to return to Lag Jaa Gale after Diwali with a confidential schedule and tighter on-set security following the Juhu firing incident.

Tiger Shroff to resume Lag Jaa Gale after Diwali under guard

Tiger Shroff is heading back to work, but not back to the old normal. The actor is expected to resume shooting for Karan Johar’s Lag Jaa Gale after Diwali, with his team and the production locking in a security plan that makes his movements far less visible than before.

Sources close to the actor told India Today that a detailed plan is now in place after the October 18 firing in Mumbai’s Juhu. His location and shooting schedule will stay confidential, shared only with a close-knit circle.

A delayed return, not a cancelled one

Since the incident, Tiger has not shot for the film, despite some reports suggesting he had already returned. He has been at home with his family through the festive period and is expected back on set next month once Diwali is behind him.

Lag Jaa Gale, which co-stars Janhvi Kapoor, is still moving forward. His other professional commitments also remain on schedule, a sign that the priority is a guarded return rather than a shutdown.

What happened on October 18

Three men on a motorcycle opened fire near a Juhu football ground where Tiger had been playing. The actor was unhurt; his driver and another person sustained injuries. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility. The accused have been taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.

That sequence is precisely why the production’s new rules centre on information control. A shooting schedule is no longer just a logistics document; it is a security detail.

The new on-set playbook

The safeguards fall into three broad moves, according to the sources:

  • Restrict access: call times and locations are known only to a small, trusted group.
  • Secure the set: the production is adding extra precautions during the shoot.
  • Maintain momentum: the film and his other commitments stay on schedule, so the work continues with a lighter public footprint.

As one source put it, “everyone is being careful about who is privy to his schedule and location.”

Why it matters for Bollywood

For fans, the headline is simple: Lag Jaa Gale is on track, and Tiger is ready to return. For the industry, the story is a small but telling shift. After a threat that touched a public, everyday spot—a football ground—productions are treating a star’s casual routines as part of the security perimeter.

Tiger and his family are said to have been shaken but are now confident, with the sources saying they want him to lead a normal life. That normal, for now, will look a little different: more secure, more controlled, and far more private.
