Udta Teer week one worldwide total hits Rs 46.28 cr
Ayushmann Khurrana's spy comedy ends week one at Rs 46.28 crore worldwide after a Rs 2.60 crore Thursday, 15% ahead of Patni Patni Aur Woh Do.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s spy comedy Udta Teer has wrapped its opening week with a worldwide gross of Rs 46.28 crore, after Thursday added Rs 2.60 crore net from its Indian theatrical run. The day’s business came from 5,744 shows and was just 1.9% softer than Wednesday’s Rs 2.65 crore — a small step down that reads as steadiness for a film deep into its first working week.
The week, day by day
The movie opened at Rs 4.10 crore on Friday, climbed to Rs 7.25 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 8.20 crore on Sunday. The working week then settled into a predictable rhythm: Rs 3.20 crore on Monday, a tiny nudge up to Rs 3.25 crore on Tuesday, Rs 2.65 crore on Wednesday and Rs 2.60 crore on Thursday.
Here is how the first seven days stacked up on India net collections:
- Day 1, Friday: Rs 4.10 cr
- Day 2, Saturday: Rs 7.25 cr
- Day 3, Sunday: Rs 8.20 cr
- Day 4, Monday: Rs 3.20 cr
- Day 5, Tuesday: Rs 3.25 cr
- Day 6, Wednesday: Rs 2.65 cr
- Day 7, Thursday: Rs 2.60 cr
Where the audience sat
Thursday’s Hindi 2D occupancy was 12.64%, which sounds modest, but the detail is more telling. Night shows drew the biggest crowd at 17.92%, followed by the evening at 11.92% and the afternoon at 11.85%. Mornings were quiet at 6.31%. If you are planning a cinema trip, the data suggests this is a film people are choosing for the late show, not the first show of the day.
The average collection per show worked out to about Rs 4,526, while Thursday’s footfalls came to 146,645. The film’s cumulative admissions now stand at 1,613,257. In plain numbers, this is a film holding its audience rather than expanding loudly.
The comparison that matters
The more interesting comparison is how Udta Teer is tracking against Ayushmann’s previous release, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. At the same stage of its run, that film had a worldwide gross of Rs 40.23 crore after a Rs 2 crore seventh day in India from 4,940 shows.
Udta Teer is now about 15% ahead worldwide, a difference of Rs 6.05 crore. Its domestic net total stands at Rs 31.25 crore, with an India gross of Rs 37.28 crore. Overseas added Rs 50 lakh on Thursday, lifting the cumulative international gross to Rs 9 crore — comfortably above the earlier film’s Rs 5.80 crore at the corresponding point.
To be clear: we are comparing first-week totals, not lifetime verdicts. The older film may have had different release dynamics. But as a seven-day scorecard, the new title has done its job.
The second-weekend test
The coming Friday-to-Sunday window will be the next honest signal. Udta Teer has shown it can peak on a Sunday, and its weekdays have not collapsed. If it can hold enough screens and repeat the late-show energy, it should add meaningfully to the Rs 46.28 crore worldwide total.
The film’s supporting cast includes Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Suhail Nayyar, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Brijendra Kala and Sandeep Anand. It also marks the second posthumous screen appearance of Mukul Dev, who passed away in 2025 — a quiet, emotional note for fans who have followed his work.
