Mirzapur: The Movie is on Prime Video after Rs 339.84 cr global run

Mirzapur’s crime saga is making its streaming return. Mirzapur: The Movie is now on Prime Video, and this version comes with an extended cut that adds footage beyond what played in cinemas.

What the extended cut brings

The film revisits the rivalry between Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit, with Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu returning in the lead. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, it puts the franchise’s central fight back on screen: who controls Mirzapur. Prime Video announced the release with a poster and the line, “Bhaukaal aa chuka hai #MirzapurTheMovieOnPrime, Watch Now.”

The extended cut gives fans more than a straight reissue of the theatrical version. If you caught it in cinemas, there is a reason to revisit it.

Where to stream it

  • Platform: Prime Video
  • Language: Hindi with English subtitles
  • Access: Active Prime Video subscription required

Alongside the three leads, the cast includes Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Jitendra Kumar and Mohitt Maalik.

How the film performed

The film opened in cinemas on September 4. It made Rs 30.90 crore on day one, Rs 38.40 crore on day two and Rs 43.05 crore on day three, according to Sacnilk. Its first-week India collection stood at Rs 148.45 crore, and the worldwide total has reached Rs 339.84 crore.

That global result is the context for this streaming drop. A film with a strong theatrical run arrives on Prime Video with an extended cut, turning box office momentum into a home-viewing event.

Why the longer cut matters

Extended cuts are becoming a useful OTT lever. They reward the most loyal fans and give new viewers a reason to pick the streaming version. For a franchise built on cliffhangers and power struggles, the extra footage keeps the conversation alive after the theatrical window.

If you are planning to watch, choose the streaming version and watch for scenes that were not in cinemas. The film is best viewed as part of a larger Mirzapur world that has already built a loyal following on Prime Video.
