The North Eastern Film Festival (NEFF) 2023 commenced on March 24th with a star-studded affair. The three-day festival featured an array of excellent films and documentaries from various parts of Northeast India, showcasing the region’s unique and vibrant culture.
The festival was graced by the presence of Bollywood celebrities, including Mahima Chaudhry, Padmini Kolhapure, Gulshan Grover, Mukesh Chhabra, Ashok Pandit, Abhinav Kashyap, Poonam Dhillon, and Pooja Sharma. The attendees appreciated the diverse range of films and the opportunity to immerse themselves in Northeast India’s cinematic culture.
The festival’s opening ceremony saw Kolhapure light the inaugural lamp while looking elegant in a green dress, and Mahima Chaudhry opted for an all-white look, exuding grace and charm.
Some of the films that were screened during the festival include ‘The Horse From Heaven,’ ‘Mask Art of Majuli,’ ‘A Star is Born,’ ‘Mohan ra Madan,’ ‘Bohag Bohag Mon,’ and ‘Lembi Leica.’ Each film showcased the Northeast’s unique stories, landscapes, and people, providing an excellent platform for local talent to showcase their work to a wider audience.
