Renowned film producer Mahaveer Jain recently praised Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, recalling an incident from the 1990s when Aamir displayed exceptional courage by refusing to attend a party organized by the underworld. During that era, the film industry was under the influence of the underworld, and accepting invitations to their parties in the Middle East was customary for all film stars. However, Aamir Khan stood firm and put his life at stake by rejecting such an invitation, highlighting his unwavering principles.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mahaveer Jain lauded Aamir’s integrity, stating, “In the ’90s, the underworld was ruling the film industry. All film stars had to accept the invitations and visit the Middle East for their parties. But Aamir bhai put his life at stake. He never agreed to it. He is a man of principles.”
Aamir Khan’s commitment to his principles extends beyond just personal appearances. Mahaveer Jain also mentioned that when Aamir hosted the TV show Satyamev Jayate, he refused to endorse several brands during that time. For nearly three years, Aamir refrained from advertising for four to five brands he used to endorse. He believed that featuring an advertisement with him during the serious show would diminish its significance. Therefore, he made the decision to let go of all such endorsements.
Describing Aamir Khan as someone who shies away from the allure of name, fame, money, and power, Mahaveer Jain emphasized that he is not a part of the rat race that often engulfs the film industry. In a recent event, the actor mentioned that he will only take on a film when he is emotionally ready for it, prioritizing spending time with his family. “I haven’t signed any film yet. I just want to spend time with my family, and I am doing just that. When I am emotionally ready to do a film, I will definitely do it,” Aamir stated.
