Popular Bollywood actors and celebrity couple, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha, are all set to come back with Season 2 of their highly acclaimed audio podcast series, Virus 2062. The first season was released in 2021 on Spotify, and after receiving immense love and demand from their fans on social media, Ali and Richa have decided to continue their unique storytelling venture.
Ali Fazal expressed his gratitude towards the overwhelming response from their fans and said, “It is nice when fans, viewers, or even listeners reach out to you directly to tell you what they like and even remember your work. For example, Virus 2062. That audio series was so loved by people that Richa and I still get requests to come out during season 2.” He also mentioned that despite the growing popularity of podcasts, their series was a unique experiment for them in 2021, and the positive reactions from the audience make it all worthwhile.
Interestingly, Season 2 of Virus 2062 will mark the first collaboration of Ali and Richa after their wedding in October last year, adding more excitement for their fans.
Apart from their podcast series, Ali Fazal has an exciting lineup of projects. He will be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming spy thriller Khufiya, co-starring Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Haque Badhon, and Alexx O’Nell, which is set to release on Netflix. He will also be seen in Kandahar, alongside Gerard Butler, with a worldwide release scheduled for May 26.
On the other hand, Richa Chadha has been roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious web show Heeramandi for Netflix, where she will share the screen with Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, and Aditi Rao Hydari. Both Ali and Richa will also reunite in the highly anticipated film Fukrey 3, set to release later this year.
