Bellamkonda Sreenivas talks about making his Hindi debut with Chatrapathi and why it’s different from SS Rajamouli’s original

Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Chatrapathi, a pan-India remake of SS Rajamouli’s 2005 Telugu blockbuster. At the trailer launch event, Sreenivas spoke about his excitement and nervousness about entering the Hindi market and the challenges of making a pan-India film.

Sreenivas, who has been trained in acting by director VV Vinayak, expressed his gratitude towards his mentor for launching him and giving him the opportunity to make his Hindi debut with a film like Chatrapathi. He also stated that he wanted to take on a new challenge and explore new territories in his career.

When asked about the comparison with SS Rajamouli‘s original, Sreenivas clarified that they did not approach the film as a remake. According to him, the film is based in today’s time and has been pitched at a much larger scale. He assured that audiences will have a great experience while watching the film.

Nushrratt Bharuccha, who is also part of the film, spoke about the impact of Baahubali and how it changed her perspective on regional cinema. She expressed her excitement about doing a pan-India film and the importance of connecting with audiences beyond language barriers.

Produced by Pen Movies, Chatrapathi is set to release on May 12 and promises to be a high-octane action drama with stunning visuals and a talented cast. As Bellamkonda Sreenivas makes his Hindi debut with this film, it will be interesting to see how the audience responds to his performance and whether he can make a mark in Bollywood.
