After making her mark in the digital space with the ZEE5 web series “Mithya”, Avantika Dasani is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film “U Shape Ki Gully”. The movie, directed by Avinash Das and produced by Yadhunath Films, also stars Vivaan Shah and Jaaved Jaaferi. Avantika was selected for the role of Shabnam after the makers auditioned several actors and saw the spark in her eyes while she listened to the story and details of her character. Meanwhile, Vivaan was chosen for his conviction in the story as the character of Hariya.
“U Shape Ki Gully” is set to go on floors in the first week of May in Lucknow. Directed by Avinash Das, who previously helmed “Anaarkali Of Aarah” and was one of the directors of the Netflix web series “She”, the film promises to be an intriguing watch. According to the makers, Avantika’s character of Shabnam requires not just good looks, but also someone who is sharp in her actions. With her conviction and willingness to learn and evolve inside out, Avantika seems to be the perfect fit for the role. We can’t wait to see her in action in her first Bollywood outing.
