Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is all set to portray the role of Sita, also known as Janaki, in the upcoming mythological drama, Adipurush. At the trailer launch of the highly anticipated movie, Kriti shared her excitement and gratitude for getting the opportunity to play such an iconic character alongside Prabhas. She expressed how emotional she felt while watching the trailer and stated that Adipurush is not just a movie, but much more than that.
Kriti also thanked the director, Om Raut, for believing in her and giving her the chance to play Janaki. She added that there are very few actors who get such a role in their lifetime and she feels blessed to have been chosen for the part. Talking about her character, Kriti described Janaki as a pure, kind-hearted, and strong-willed woman who has a loving heart. She also mentioned that she poured her heart and soul into playing the role and that it was a huge emotion for her.
Adipurush is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana and features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Lakshman. Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of Ravan. The film has been made with a whopping budget of ₹500 crores and is expected to be a visual spectacle.
Apart from Adipurush, Kriti will also be seen in other upcoming projects like Ganapath, The Crew, and an untitled movie with Shahid Kapoor. With such exciting projects in the pipeline, Kriti Sanon is surely one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood today.
