The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Vishwa Vijay Singh, who played a key role in the high-profile Aryan Khan drug case, has been dismissed. According to recent reports, Singh was a pivotal member of the team that conducted a raid on the Cordelia cruise in Mumbai, where they allegedly busted a drug racket. The officer was suspended after an inquiry was ordered against him in April 2022, and the findings led to his dismissal.
Singh not only accompanied Sameer Wankhede during the raid operation on the Cordelia cruise, but he also led a team of officers when they visited Shah Rukh Khan‘s palatial residence in Mumbai, Mannat, in connection with the drug raid investigation. However, Aryan Khan was later given a clean chit due to insufficient evidence.
The NCB had arrested seventeen high-profile names in connection to the drug case and had seized drugs along with cash during their raid. However, due to certain discrepancies during the raid, as well as for providing witnesses with prior crime records, the NCB Mumbai team was placed under vigilance inquiry in November 2022. Post the inquiry, the department ordered action against seven officers, retaining their anonymity.
This latest development is sure to shake things up in the ongoing Aryan Khan drug case, and it remains to be seen what impact it will have on the case going forward. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
