Renowned filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, known for his National award-winning film Dangal, is all set to release his latest venture, Bawaal. However, amidst the buzz surrounding his upcoming film, Tiwari has also been working on an ambitious project, Ramayana, a subject that has recently faced controversies with the film Adipurush. When asked about his thoughts on tackling a mythology-based subject after the Adipurush backlash, Tiwari appeared confident and unfazed. In a recent interview, he shared, “My question is very simple. I am also a consumer of the content that I create, and if I’m not going to offend myself, then I’m very confident that I might not end up offending anybody else.”
While the cast for Ramayana is yet to be confirmed, speculations have been circulating that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been offered the lead roles, following Hrithik Roshan‘s exit from the project. With Tiwari’s track record of delivering impactful films and his unwavering confidence, audiences can expect a cinematic experience that respectfully explores the epic tale of Ramayana. As the filmmaker gears up for the release of Bawaal, a timeless love story set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video, fans eagerly await further updates on Ramayana and the magic Tiwari will bring to this beloved saga.
