April 30, 2020 marked a day of great loss for the Indian film industry as the legendary actor Rishi Kapoor passed away after battling leukemia for two years. On his third death anniversary, his close friend and colleague Rakesh Roshan took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor.
Rakesh Roshan and Rishi Kapoor’s friendship dates back to their collaboration on the film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, which also starred Neetu Kapoor. Roshan shared a throwback picture of the two of them and wrote, “Chintu, you will always remain a friend.”
Fans also poured in their love and nostalgia for the actor in the comments section. Actor Ronit Bose Roy expressed how much he missed Kapoor, while another fan requested Roshan to direct more movies as they eagerly awaited his next project.
In an earlier interview, Roshan had spoken about his close bond with Kapoor, highlighting the actor’s childlike nature and love for food and drinks. Despite not being able to meet him during his cancer diagnosis, they remained in touch frequently, chatting for hours on end.
