In a bid to safeguard their creative work, Shah Rukh Khan‘s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, has taken a firm stance against the leakage of clips from the much-anticipated film, ‘Jawan.’ The production house recently filed an FIR under the Information Technology Act at the Santacruz police station in Mumbai, addressing the unauthorized sharing of clips that violated copyright. The leaked clips not only compromised the carefully orchestrated marketing strategy of the film but also revealed crucial elements such as the actors’ appearances and the film’s music.
Earlier this year, similar leaks prompted the Delhi High Court to direct various platforms to remove the leaked videos, underlining the industry’s ongoing battle against piracy. Directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and an ensemble cast, ‘Jawan’ is set to hit theaters on September 7, 2023.
