Salman Khan, the beloved host of Bigg Boss, is all set to take charge of the OTT version of the popular reality show. The launch event for the second season took place on Friday, June 16, generating excitement among fans and viewers.
Speaking about his expectations for Bigg Boss OTT, Salman expressed his desire for the show to maintain a level of restraint. He stated, “I hope it is not too uncensored and unfiltered, and if it is, then I will control it myself. The show should run keeping in mind our culture, and that’s why I am a part of Bigg Boss OTT.”
The actor explained that his decision to host the OTT version was due to the unavailability of Karan Johar and Farah Khan, who hosted the first season. Salman emphasized his commitment to ensuring that nothing goes against Indian culture on the show, both on television and in the digital space. He asserted, “I will not allow anything against our culture on the show.”
When asked about the difference between TV and OTT platforms, Salman stated that he did not find much distinction. He mentioned that he personally does not engage in the kind of content that some associate with OTT platforms, and he prefers content that adheres to guidelines and respects cultural values. He also acknowledged the improvements in the OTT space since the implementation of guidelines.
In a surprising revelation, Salman shared that a friend of his, Niketan Madhok, participated in the show without informing him. The unexpected encounter on the stage left Salman pleasantly shocked.
