However, in a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, Suniel Shetty has clarified that Akshay had nothing to do with the delay of the film.
Suniel added that the entire team needed to be very clear about the script and the producer, Firoz Nadiadwala, had gone through a lot in life. The actor wished the best for him because he loves him. He also emphasized that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ not happening was not because of the actors.
Furthermore, Suniel revealed that he and Akshay always spoke about doing the third part of the franchise, and Akshay could never be replaced. While there were rumors of Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay, Suniel explained that Kartik could have played another character if he was on board, but Raju will always remain Raju.
Fans of the franchise can now breathe a sigh of relief as Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh Rawal were recently spotted shooting a promo for the film, and the shoot is expected to begin very soon.
