In a delightful connection between actors Tiger Shroff and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, it has been discovered that their latest collaboration, Tiku Weds Sheru, features a witty reference to Tiger Shroff. In a scene during the first half of the film, Sana (played by Khushi Bharadwaj), Tiku’s (Avneet Kaur) sister, expresses her complaint to Sheru (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) that he doesn’t bring her new clothes like he does for Tiku. Sheru then asks Sana about her favorite actor, and she mentions Sunny Shroff. To humorously respond, Sheru reveals that his designer, Swati Yogi, will design clothes for Sana. When Sana inquires if she’ll get to meet Sunny Shroff, Sheru playfully takes a dig at Disha Patani, saying, “No, no. After the 22nd. Who will come from that Disha after the 22nd, that Patani!”
Interestingly, keen observers will notice that both Khushi Bharadwaj and Nawazuddin Siddiqui mention Tiger Shroff’s name instead of Sunny Shroff in the scene. However, it appears that a subsequent decision led to the alteration of Tiger to Sunny. The inclusion of the Disha Patani reference further hints at the makers’ intention to allude to Tiger Shroff.
Tiku Weds Sheru, directed by Sai Kabir and produced by Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika Films, was released on Amazon Prime Video on June 23. The film revolves around Sheru, a junior artist and pimp, who deceives his naive wife, Tiku, into believing he is a renowned film financier. Meanwhile, Tiku hides her real motives for marrying Sheru, which involve pursuing an acting career and staying close to her boyfriend, Binni (Rahoul).
