The trailer launch event of the much-awaited “Fukrey 3” was a laughter-filled extravaganza, perfectly matching the comic caper’s essence. The star-studded event in Mumbai not only featured the film’s talented cast, including Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, and Pankaj Tripathi, but it also had a surprise guest who stole the spotlight—Varun Sharma’s mother, Veena Sharma.
During the event, Veena Sharma, affectionately known as “Choocha ki mummy” due to her son Varun Sharma’s iconic role as Choocha in the “Fukrey” series, shared a hilarious anecdote. She recalled, “After the release of the first ‘Fukrey’ in 2013, kids began calling me ‘Choocha mummy’ and ‘Fukra mummy.’ ‘Choocha mummy’ sounded fine, but when they called me ‘Fukra mummy,’ I thought, ‘I’m not like that! I’ve never been a ‘Fukra’ (slang for mischief-maker)!'”
However, Veena Sharma gracefully acknowledged her son’s contribution to her newfound identity and expressed her gratitude. She said, “Since I have this platform, I’d like to say a big thank you to Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. You molded and sculpted this character, and that’s how Choocha turned out so great. My son gained an identity thanks to this character and film.”
Varun Sharma, visibly moved, joined his mother on stage, kissed her forehead, and expressed his emotions, saying, “It’s an emotional moment. It has been my dream since I was a child to act. Thank you, Mrigh sir. I love you.” He extended his gratitude to the film’s producers and writer, making the trailer launch event a heartwarming and memorable affair. “Fukrey 3” is set to hit cinemas on September 28, promising another round of hilarious adventures.
