Vicky Kaushal Opts Out of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ Due to Date Clash with ‘Chhava’

In a recent update from the world of Bollywood, talented actor Vicky Kaushal, who has been soaring high with the success of “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” was all set to join Rohit Shetty‘s cop universe in the much-anticipated film, “Singham Again.” Excitement was in the air as Vicky was to portray the role of Ajay Devgn‘s younger brother, a cop, in the movie. However, a date clash with another project, “Chhava,” has led Vicky to take a step back from “Singham Again.”

According to insiders, Vicky Kaushal had a strong desire to be a part of a mass-appealing film helmed by Rohit Shetty. He had even finalized his look for the movie but found himself in a dilemma when the shooting schedules for “Singham Again” overlapped with those of “Chhava.” Vicky’s commitment to “Chhava,” set in a period era, made it impossible to replicate the same look in a modern film like “Singham Again.”

Despite sincere efforts to work around the scheduling conflict, Vicky had to inform Rohit Shetty about his decision. Both being thorough professionals, they understood the situation, leading to Vicky’s exit from the project. The date issue arose due to Rohit Shetty’s plan to shoot scenes with Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Vicky Kaushal together. However, with everyone’s schedules already locked for October, it became challenging to accommodate the changes.

As fans lament the missed opportunity of this impressive casting coup, hope remains for a potential collaboration in the future. “Singham Again” also stars Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles, and despite the setback, the film promises to deliver an action-packed spectacle that Rohit Shetty is renowned for.
