Fighter Actor Praises Deepika Padukone’s Humility, Recalls Heartwarming Gesture

Chandan K Anand, who portrayed Wing Commander Harish Nautiyal (Nauty) in Siddharth Anand’s recent action flick “Fighter,” shared a touching anecdote about his co-star Deepika Padukone during a recent interview. Anand, known for his roles in “Love Aaj Kal” and “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,” opened up about his experience working with the leading actors, praising their personalities both on and off screen.

A Simple Act of Kindness Speaks Volumes:

Anand recounted a specific instance that highlighted Padukone’s grounded nature. “I was sitting on set when Deepika walked in,” he shared. “As I stood up to greet her, my sunglasses accidentally fell. To my surprise, she bent down to pick them up for me! I was taken aback and asked why she would do that, to which she simply replied, ‘It’s okay, it’s okay.'” This kind gesture left a lasting impression on Anand, showcasing Padukone’s genuine humility despite her superstar status.

More Than Just Stars:

The actor went on to describe his interactions with Hrithik Roshan, commending his warmth and approachability. “They’re all truly wonderful people,” he stated, referring to the film’s cast. Recalling a conversation with Roshan, Anand chuckled, “I told him he’s even more handsome in person than on screen!
