Ramayana: Part One is reported to hold paid previews in India on November 4 and open worldwide on November 5, with Part Two set for Diwali 2027.

Ramayana Part One: Paid Previews Nov 4, Worldwide Open Nov 5

Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana: Part One’ now has a release plan, and it gives Indian audiences the first seats. According to a report in Pinkvilla, cited by The Times of India, the film is expected to hold paid previews across India on November 4 before a worldwide theatrical opening on November 5.

The global rollout at a glance

Most international markets are grouped with the worldwide date. Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Germany, the rest of Europe and Latin America are currently scheduled to open the film on November 5. The UK, South Africa and Mauritius are listed for November 6, while China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong have no confirmed dates yet.

  • India paid previews: November 4
  • Worldwide opening: November 5, across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Germany, Europe and Latin America
  • UK, South Africa, Mauritius: November 6
  • East Asia: dates not yet confirmed; markets could join the global release or open later

The report cautions that the dates are not fully final and may still change as the global plan is worked out.

Why the timing matters

For Hindi film fans, a paid preview on November 4 is more than an early show; it is a signal of how the team wants to build word of mouth before the official opening. A day-one advantage in India can shape the narrative for a mythological epic where audience faith is part of the conversation. Overseas, the near-simultaneous rollout keeps most diaspora markets close to the Indian release, while a few territories wait an extra day.

Ranbir Kapoor on the weight of the role

In a behind-the-scenes video shared by the makers in September, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about playing Lord Rama as a responsibility rather than a role. He said the character’s greatest strength is ‘not his bow; it is his Kshama’, and described the part as a ‘zimmedaari’. He added that his daily reminder was to be worthy of the faith people place in the story, not simply worthy of the role.

The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana, and features Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chaddha, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Vivek Oberoi and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles.

What comes next

‘Ramayana: Part One’ is the first half of a two-part saga; ‘Ramayana: Part Two’ is scheduled for Diwali 2027. Until then, the practical move for fans is to wait for official confirmation on ticketing platforms before making plans, especially for the undated East Asian markets.
