Ramayana Wedding Song Mangal Rang Premieres Today at 9 am
Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal voice the Ram-Sita wedding track, composed by A.R. Rahman, ahead of the film's November 5 release.

A new chapter in the Ramayana music rollout begins this morning. The wedding song “Mangal Rang” premieres on YouTube at 9 am IST, giving fans the fullest look yet at Lord Ram and Sita’s wedding celebrations in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic.
Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal handle the vocals, while A.R. Rahman composes the track. The song was first showcased at a launch event in Chennai, and short glimpses of the wedding sequence also appeared in the trailer. Today’s release turns that tease into a full devotional moment, putting Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s Ram and Sita at the centre of the frame.
The music behind the epic
Before the film reaches cinemas on November 5, the makers have put the music in the spotlight. The soundtrack rollout so far includes:
- “Jai Jai Ram”
- “Ravana Tandav”
- “Sita’s Aspiration” (instrumental)
- “The Rama Theme” (instrumental)
What makes the score a global event is the combination of two Oscar-winning composers. A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, known for films such as The Lion King, Gladiator and Dune, are working together on an Indian production for the first time. T-Series has also released the soundtrack in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on its regional YouTube channels, so the music reaches far beyond Hindi-speaking audiences.
Why Mangal Rang matters
Wedding songs hold a special place in Indian cinema, and an epic like Ramayana needs a track strong enough to carry the emotional weight of its central union. Pairing Arijit Singh with Shreya Ghoshal over an A.R. Rahman composition is designed to make the song both a celebration and a prayer. For fans, it is the closest look yet at how the film will visualise one of its most beloved episodes.
The film also stars Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. With release day less than two weeks away, Mangal Rang serves as the film’s emotional calling card as the countdown begins.
One film, two runtimes
Alongside the song, reports suggest Ramayana will arrive in two different lengths. The Hindi version is expected to run approximately three hours and 15 minutes, while the English version could be trimmed to around two hours and 45 minutes. According to reports, some song sequences may be edited out for international viewers.
That gives Hindi audiences the full musical canvas, while international viewers may get a tighter, song-light cut. If you want every beat of the Rahman-Zimmer score, the Hindi-language version is the one to choose.
For now, the main event is this morning: stream Mangal Rang, revisit the trailer, and keep November 5 marked.
