Udta Teer at Rs 42.68 Crore Worldwide After Day 6 Drop

Ayushmann Khurrana's Udta Teer adds Rs 2.65 crore India net on day six, slips 18.5% from Tuesday, and stands at Rs 42.68 crore worldwide.

Udta Teer at Rs 42.68 Crore Worldwide After Day 6 Dip

Day six slows after a stronger weekend

Ayushmann Khurrana’s spy comedy Udta Teer collected Rs 2.65 crore net in India on Wednesday, October 28, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India. That is an 18.5% dip from Tuesday’s Rs 3.25 crore, pulling the six-day India net total to Rs 28.65 crore.

The film is now closing its first week with an estimated worldwide gross of Rs 42.68 crore, just short of the Rs 50 crore milestone. Domestic gross stands at Rs 34.18 crore, and overseas gross has reached Rs 8.50 crore after adding Rs 75 lakh on Wednesday.

The audience is showing the weekday rhythm

Attendance is thinning as the working week sets in. The Hindi 2D version recorded overall occupancy of 10.74% on Wednesday. Morning shows were the quietest at 5.69%, afternoon screenings improved to 10.62%, and evening shows climbed to 13.85%.

Across 5,781 shows nationwide, the film sold 152,148 tickets on Wednesday, taking reported total footfall to 1,466,612. The numbers fit a familiar first-week pattern:

  • Friday to Sunday: collections rose, with the highest daily total on Sunday, October 25.
  • Monday: a sharp correction after the weekend rush.
  • Tuesday: a modest improvement to Rs 3.25 crore.
  • Wednesday: another dip to Rs 2.65 crore.

Where the film stands in Khurrana’s career

Udta Teer opened at Rs 4.10 crore net, which ranks eighth among Ayushmann Khurrana’s biggest opening days. It is outside his career top five. His 2025 release Thamma remains far ahead, having collected Rs 24 crore net on its opening day.

Six days in, the India net total is just under seven times the opening-day figure, which suggests the film found an audience but is not multiplying aggressively. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film sees Khurrana play Vikrant, also known as Bilal Ahmed. Sara Ali Khan plays Yamini, with Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover and Mukul Dev in supporting roles.

Why the hold matters

For a mid-budget Bollywood title, the Monday-to-Thursday stretch often reveals whether word of mouth can sustain a film beyond its opening rush. Udta Teer is not collapsing, but it is cooling. The key test is whether the second weekend can push the worldwide total decisively past Rs 50 crore and keep the film in the conversation.
