Priyanka Chopra on Nick Jonas’s Karwa Chauth Surprise

Priyanka Chopra revealed Nick Jonas adjusted his tour dates to be home for Karwa Chauth, celebrating with daughter Malti Marie and breaking her fast.

Priyanka Chopra on Nick Jonas's Karwa Chauth Surprise

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrated Karwa Chauth at home on October 29, and the story behind the pictures is the part fans are holding on to. Priyanka said her husband quietly adjusted his ongoing tour schedule so the family could be together for the festival—unprompted.

The celebration, in frames

Priyanka shared an intimate set of photos from the evening. The images included her hand-applied mehendi, the moment she broke her fast, a candid shot of daughter Malti Marie hugging Nick, and Priyanka dressed in a traditional sindoori red kurta set for the rituals.

In her caption, she wrote that Nick came home “without me asking him to,” knowing how much the ritual would mean to her and their daughter. She added, “No one like my guy. May a love like this find you all.” Before moonrise, she also posted an Instagram Story asking, “When will this moon come out?”

Why a changed tour schedule matters

Karwa Chauth is not a light calendar entry. Married women observe a day-long waterless fast from sunrise until moonrise, praying for their spouse’s longevity and well-being. In a cross-cultural marriage, participating is not automatic—it is a ritual that has to be shared, explained and chosen.

That context makes the gesture more than a sweet social media moment. Nick adjusting an ongoing tour to be home, without being asked, turns a festival into a family priority. Across the industry, several film personalities marked the festival with traditional rituals, but Priyanka’s post focused on the decision behind the celebration rather than the pageantry alone.

For fans who have followed the couple since their 2018 engagement, it also continues a familiar arc: they married in dual Christian and Hindu ceremonies at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur and welcomed Malti Marie in January 2022.

Inside the home celebration

  • Priyanka’s hand-applied mehendi, shared before the evening rituals.
  • The post-fast moment from the family’s home celebration.
  • Malti Marie hugging Nick in a candid frame.
  • Priyanka’s sindoori red kurta set for Karwa Chauth.

The work diary, waiting

The personal post arrives as Priyanka prepares for her return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu action-adventure Varanasi. The film, scheduled for a Sankranthi 2027 theatrical release, also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.

That makes the family pause feel even more deliberate. Two busy calendars, one festival, and a partner who chose to come home.
