Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas twin at LA Diwali party

The couple twinned in traditional festive looks at a star-studded LA Diwali party, and Priyanka shared her Karwa Chauth moments with Nick and Malti Marie

Priyanka and Nick twin at LA Diwali party

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas turned a Los Angeles Diwali party into a celebration of Indian festive style, and fans are taking notes. A photograph posted by talent agent James G. Boulter showed the couple at the centre of a starry gathering that also included Priyanka’s manager Anjula Acharia.

Matching festive looks

Priyanka wore a heavily embroidered outfit with beadwork and embellishments, finishing the look with a floral gajra and glam makeup. Nick kept the palette coordinated in a cream-and-white outfit with subtle detailing. Boulter also shared a video of guests dancing to live dhol, which gave the whole gathering the feel of a proper desi celebration far from home.

Karwa Chauth, Priyanka style

Days earlier, Priyanka marked Karwa Chauth with her family in the US. On Instagram Stories she showed a DIY mehendi design with the initials NJ for Nick Jonas and MM for their daughter Malti Marie. She wrote, “Piya ke naam ki… happy karwachauth to all those celebrating,” sending wishes to everyone observing the festival.

For the ritual she wore a red outfit with gold detailing, sindoor, traditional jewellery and soft makeup. In one playful story she asked, “When will this moon come out?” Later she shared a picture with Nick holding a decorated thali and a sieve, with a lit diya adding to the mood. She captioned it, “Ok, I’m filmy every year…”

Style cues to borrow

If you are planning your own festive wardrobe, keep it simple:

  • Coordinate instead of matching head-to-toe: Priyanka and Nick used different silhouettes in the same tonal family.
  • Let one traditional accent do the talking, like a gajra or a meaningful mehendi detail.
  • Keep beauty soft and glowy so the embroidery remains the focus.

That balance is part of why these pictures work: they are high-glam but still feel like a family festival, especially with Malti Marie’s initials tucked into the mehendi.

Why it matters for desi fans abroad

For the Hindi film audience, Priyanka is one of the few stars who carries Indian festivals into mainstream global celebrity spaces. When she posts a mehendi with Nick and Malti’s initials or dances to dhol in LA, it makes the rituals visible far beyond the usual Bollywood bubble. That is a soft power moment: the festival stays familiar, but the setting is new.

It also helps that the couple keeps the rituals recognisable. There is no over-explanation in the captions, just the shorthand of mehendi, diya and a moon wait that Hindi film fans already understand. That confidence is what makes the posts feel like a shared celebration rather than a cultural explainer.

What’s next for Priyanka

On the work front, Priyanka is set to return to Indian cinema with Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu. The film is slated for a theatrical release on April 7, 2027, which gives her fans a long runway to get excited.

For now, her LA Diwali and Karwa Chauth posts are a reminder that the filmi calendar travels with her.
