Shah Rukh Khan’s King Promo Lights Up Mumbai Sea Link and Mannat
Mumbai's Sea Link and Mannat glow for Shah Rukh Khan's King promo, with a teaser and Arijit Singh track expected before the December 24 release.

Shah Rukh Khan is making his birthday impossible to ignore. With the actor not expected to make a public appearance on November 2, the team behind his next film King has turned Mumbai itself into the venue.
A city in King mode
On Saturday night, fans began sharing videos of Mumbai’s Sea Link lit up with the film’s poster. The landmark glowed with King branding, and social media quickly filled with clips of the coastline in what fans called “King mode.”
At Mannat, the build-up is even more elaborate. Photos and videos show the residence being set up as a large screen, with buzz that a live projection of the film’s teaser will run there on November 2.
What fans can expect
The birthday rollout is expected to include the premiere of the King teaser and a first track sung by Arijit Singh. Shah Rukh himself is not expected to be physically present at Mannat for the celebrations because of work commitments.
King is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 24, 2026. The cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
- Teaser and first song: expected during the birthday celebration window.
- Release date: December 24, 2026.
- Starring: Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
- Track record: SRK’s previous two releases, Pathaan and Jawan, each crossed ₹1,000 crore at the box office.
The box-office test
King arrives one week after Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three. Dune: Part Three is expected to take over IMAX screens, while Doomsday books other large-screen formats. That leaves the Hindi film with a crowded premium-format window, and the industry will be watching whether it holds December 24 or moves.
After Pathaan and Jawan, a new Shah Rukh Khan film carries outsized expectations. The teaser is the first real test of whether King can feel like another event, and it arrives just as two of the biggest Hollywood franchises occupy premium screens, making every show count.
For SRK fans, the birthday build-up is a return to event-cinema scale: a city landmark, a giant screen at Mannat, and a teaser timed to the star’s day. The campaign makes the birthday a launch event, even without the usual public appearance.
