4 Diljit Dosanjh songs barred at Indore concert
Indore officials have barred four Diljit Dosanjh tracks from his November 15 concert, citing a 2019 high court order on liquor-and-violence songs.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Indore concert on November 15 will have a shorter, quieter setlist than fans might have expected. Officials have stepped in with a specific list of songs that cannot be performed, and the order has been sent to the manager of the concert venue.
Which songs are out
The four tracks barred from the Indore show are:
- Patiala Peg
- 5 Tara Theke
- Jeb Vicho Feem
- Jatt Fire Karda
The direction follows a complaint by Chandigarh-based Dr Punditrao Dharenavar, according to the PTI report cited by The Times of India.
Why the November 15 setlist is being trimmed
The District Child Protection Officer’s letter says children above five years of age will be allowed into the concert, and these songs could have a bad effect on them. It also points to a July 22, 2019 order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court had directed police in Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh to ensure that songs glorifying liquor, wine, drugs and violence are not played, including at live shows.
Live shows run on atmosphere, and these four tracks are the kind of numbers that turn a stadium set into a giant singalong. Their removal changes the shape of the evening more than the runtime.
What the complaint wants beyond the songs
Dr Dharenavar has asked authorities not to let Diljit perform the four tracks even with changed lyrics. He also wants a stop on inviting children on stage during the show, and on the singer wearing two crossed silver bullet belts, or bandoliers, or dummy metallic silver cartridges on his chest while performing.
What this means for fans
As of now, the restriction is specific to Indore. The concert is not cancelled; the direction asks the venue to keep those songs out of the setlist. For fans travelling to the show, it is a reminder that live setlists in north India can be shaped by older court directions as well as the artist’s tour plan. Keep an eye on official organiser updates for any late changes to the show routine.
