Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is not just ruling the box office, it is pulling at heartstrings at home too. Actor Shivaleeka Oberoi shared a theatre video on Instagram after watching husband Abhishek Pathak’s new thriller, saying she teared up when the film hit the big screen.
A personal post behind a big opening
In her caption, Oberoi said the messages she had received made it clear she was not alone in finding the film special. She wrote about the sacrifices, difficult days, time apart and moments that tested the couple while Pathak worked on the project, adding that watching audiences celebrate his vision made it all feel worth it.
She also looked ahead to how their daughter Aarika might feel one day, writing that she would be lucky to know her father directed Drishyam. The note ended with pride and gratitude.
Drishyam 3’s first three days
The crime thriller arrived in cinemas on October 2, continuing the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family years after he stayed ahead of the law. A fresh investigation brings the family under pressure again. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay, with Tabu back as Meera Deshmukh. The ensemble includes Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant. Pathak directed the film and wrote it with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
According to Sacnilk’s early figures, the opening weekend looks strong:
- Friday: Rs 62 crore
- Saturday: Rs 53.50 crore
- Sunday: over Rs 53.41 crore
That takes the three-day total to Rs 168.91 crore, after a two-day haul of Rs 115.5 crore.
Why this matters for fans
Drishyam has always been a franchise built on tension and family stakes, so a heartfelt post from the director’s wife mirrors the film’s own emotional core. The opening also suggests the film has quickly converted anticipation into ticket sales, even though the Sunday figure landed close to Saturday’s.
For audiences, the first week will be the real test of word of mouth. A franchise finale can open big on nostalgia and star power, but it needs repeat viewing and family audiences to hold beyond the opening frame.
If you have not seen it yet, the theatre is where Drishyam’s silences and reveals land best.
