Hrithik Roshan’s warm birthday note to ex-wife Sussanne Khan

A wish that arrived late but landed well

Hrithik Roshan has long treated his divorce as a shift in family structure rather than a severed tie. That showed again this week with a belated birthday note for his ex-wife Sussanne Khan, dated 26 October 2026.

He shared pictures and wrote that the wish came late “but from the bottom of my heart.” The message was less about a birthday and more about gratitude: he praised the life she has lived, the challenges she has faced and the person she has become, adding that “Mom’s spirit lives on in you.”

The line that makes it a co-parenting story

What lifted the post beyond a friendly greeting was the way Hrithik framed Sussanne’s role as a mother. He called her “the best mama to Ray and ridz” and thanked her for being a “positive source of light” in their sons’ lives, one that never tires of seeing the brighter side.

The family equation has real history behind it:

• The couple were married for around 14 years before their divorce in 2014.
• They co-parent their two sons and have stayed friends in the years since.
• Sussanne’s current partner Arslan and Hrithik’s girlfriend Saba Azad are part of the wider family picture.
• Saba responded to the post with heart emojis.

Why fans are reading it as a win

Bollywood has no shortage of messy separations, so a public note without bitterness feels rare. Sussanne’s sister, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, recently told interviewer Vickey Lalwani that both new relationships work because the people involved make each other happy. She said Arslan keeps Sussanne very happy, and added that she is happy for Hrithik and Saba too.

That may be the real takeaway: the post works because the wider circle has accepted the arrangement. Hrithik closed the note by saying he will “always be here cheering” for Sussanne, a small sentence that carries a big statement for fans who have followed this family for years.

On the work front, Hrithik was last seen in a cameo in Jailer 2.
