Ramayana Part One locks November 5 release, Dussehra bookings
Makers confirm Ramayana: Part One opens worldwide on November 5, 2026, in premium formats, with advance bookings opening on Dussehra.

The wait for clarity is over. Ramayana: Part One now has a single worldwide release date, and fans know exactly when the booking window opens.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday during Navratri, the makers confirmed that the Nitesh Tiwari epic will open in cinemas worldwide on November 5, 2026, across all premium formats. Advance bookings will open on Dussehra. The announcement came with a fresh poster featuring the lead cast and framed the moment as “the beginning of Ram’s era,” in the makers’ words.
One date replaces several
The update ends a period of mixed signals. An international trailer, distributed by Sony Pictures, had initially listed November 6 as the worldwide release date. Producer Namit Malhotra had earlier spoken of a Diwali release for India, while reports had suggested paid previews on November 4.
The latest announcement joins those threads into one plan: audiences around the world can expect the film on November 5, and the ticket-booking moment is being tied to Dussehra.
What ticket buyers need to know
The practical point for fans is that the old trailer date is no longer the one to follow. If you want opening-weekend tickets, watch the film’s official channels around Dussehra and be ready to book as soon as the window goes live.
- Worldwide release: November 5, 2026
- Advance bookings: on Dussehra
- Formats: all premium formats, including IMAX
- Languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam
- Part Two: Diwali 2027
Who is behind the film
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The project is produced under Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. It has been designed as a two-part epic, with Part One arriving on November 5, 2026 and Part Two planned for Diwali 2027.
Why the clarity matters
For a mythological adaptation of this scale, a single worldwide date is more than housekeeping. It gives exhibitors a clear premium-format plan and gives fans a coordinated moment to book rather than juggling conflicting dates. The distribution muscle is split cleanly: Sony Pictures will handle the film globally outside India, while Dharma Productions will manage the Hindi-speaking market.
That structure points to how the two-part rollout is being positioned — a global event for Part One in 2026, followed by a festive window for Part Two in Diwali 2027.
