Sunny Deol’s Suryaa teaser sets a father’s fight for November 20

Sunny Deol's Suryaa teaser shows a police officer grieving his daughter and taking on medical bills and broken trust; in cinemas November 20, 2026.

Sunny Deol's Suryaa teaser: a father vs medical bills

Sunny Deol’s new teaser turns a family loss into a fight with the medical system. The first look at Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak shows him as a police officer with a warm, settled home life until his daughter dies. After that, his character stops waiting for answers and starts looking for them himself.

What the teaser reveals

The clip moves quickly from personal grief to a larger accusation about how patients are treated. Deol’s character describes people handing their lives to doctors as if they were gods, then asks what happens when that trust breaks. The starkest line lands like a warning:

“Doctors don’t write prescriptions there, they write their commissions.”

From there, the teaser connects heavy hospital bills and repeated tests to a system that can work against families. Ravi Kishan and Soumya Tandon appear in glimpses, and Deol’s Instagram note reinforces the mood: watch, think, stay alert, and fight back if something is wrong.

A story with a proven source

Suryaa is said to be a Hindi remake of the 2018 Malayalam film Joseph, in which Joju George played a retired police officer pulled into a murder investigation that forces him to face his past. M Padmakumar directed the original and now makes his Hindi debut with this adaptation. Kamal Mukut is producing.

The supporting cast includes Pragya Jaiswal, Tinu Anand, Manish Wadhwa, Jisshu Sengupta, Tanushree Chakraborty, Virti Vaghani, Siddarth Sharma, Rohit Tiwari, Anoop Trivedi, Khalid Siddiqui, the late Pankaj Dheer and Beena Kak.

The essentials

  • Role: Sunny Deol plays a police officer grieving his daughter.
  • Trigger: Her death pushes him to investigate alone.
  • Target: The film questions medical bills, tests and trust.
  • Release: November 20, 2026, in cinemas.

Why the teaser matters

The emotional engine here is familiar but effective: a parent loses a child and turns grief into a search for accountability. Because the character is a police officer, the film can combine domestic pain with investigative urgency, giving Sunny Deol a role that uses both authority and vulnerability.

For Hindi film fans, the appeal is broader than a conventional revenge thriller. A remake of a well-regarded original, described as inspired by real events, opens with a question many families would rather not ask: what happens when the system built to save us fails? The teaser wants viewers to debate that question as much as mark a release date.
