Tiger Shroff firing: 15 teams hunt gunmen as Disha Patani visits

Paparazzi videos captured Disha Patani hurrying into Tiger Shroff’s Juhu residence late on Sunday night, a white top and blue denims recorded in the usual chaotic frame. In her hand, photographers noticed what looked like a care package. Hours earlier, unidentified men had fired five rounds at the actor’s BMW near Pushpa Park.

What happened near Pushpa Park

The shooting took place around 7 pm on Sunday, within the Juhu police station’s limits. Tiger was leaving a private event after playing football and was heading home when three men arrived on a motorcycle. Police say two men opened fire while the third waited on the bike, ready to help them escape.

Tiger was seated on the side of the vehicle that took the fire. He was not hit, but his driver sustained a gunshot injury and another man was also hurt. Jackie Shroff, Tiger’s father, later confirmed to the media that his son was safe. CCTV clips that surfaced after the attack showed Tiger moving toward the driver’s seat and driving away.

A close circle closes in

Disha’s visit wasn’t the only sign of family and friends rallying. Tiger’s sister, Krishna Shroff, also reached the house after the incident. Disha and Tiger have shared a long on- and off-screen bond, having starred together in Befikra and Baaghi 2, and they have often been linked romantically, though they have never publicly confirmed a relationship.

The response, by the numbers

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the family and condemned the shooting. “There will be no laxity in this regard, and no gang, whoever they may be, will be spared,” he told the media. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also telephoned Tiger and assured him of swift action.

Here is where the investigation stands:

  • 15 police teams have been formed to trace the attackers.
  • One person has been detained for questioning in Santacruz; detention alone does not establish involvement.
  • A social media post attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi group. Police have not confirmed the post or the alleged gang link.

Why it matters beyond the headlines

The incident has sent a ripple of concern through the film industry, with names such as Ranvir Shorey, Rahul Dholakia and Poonam Pandey expressing shock. Shinde invoked Mumbai’s 1990s gang-war history and warned against any attempt to spread fear in the city.

For fans, the responsible move right now is to let the investigation speak first. Verified police updates should guide the narrative, not an unconfirmed social media claim. The key question is whether Mumbai can trace three men on a motorcycle before speculation outruns fact.
