Tiger Shroff firing: FIR filed, 15 police teams investigate

Mumbai’s Juhu Police have registered an FIR against three unidentified people after a firing incident near actor Tiger Shroff on Sunday, 18 October. Police booked the case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant sections of the Arms Act.

What happened near Pushpa Park

Tiger Shroff was returning home after a football session when shots were fired close to Pushpa Park in Juhu. According to the police version shared with IANS, a crowd had gathered nearby hoping to see the actor, and the attackers allegedly opened fire around that time.

The actor was unhurt and did not suffer any gunshot wounds. His driver, Firdous, was injured and is undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hospital. An autorickshaw driver was also wounded and was taken to Cooper Hospital.

What the charges mean

The FIR explains how police are reading the incident legally. Here is a quick breakdown:

  • BNS Section 109(1): Attempt to murder — an act done with intent or knowledge that it would have caused death if the victim had died.
  • BNS Section 3(5): Group liability — when an offence is committed in furtherance of a common intention, each person involved can be held responsible.
  • Arms Act: Offences related to firearms and ammunition, including unlawful possession and use.

The three individuals named in the FIR remain unidentified, which is why the investigation is moving on multiple fronts at once.

Why it matters for Bollywood fans

For Hindi film fans, this is not just another police story. Juhu is one of Mumbai’s most star-heavy neighbourhoods, and a crowd gathering to catch a glimpse of an actor is an everyday scene. When a firing takes place in that setting, the risk extends beyond the celebrity to the fans, drivers and passers-by in the same street.

It also raises quiet questions about how stars and their teams manage public movement after regular outings like football sessions. Security is usually planned for film promotions and airport appearances; a low-key weekend routine is harder to control.

What happens next

Mumbai Police have deployed 15 teams to trace the suspects. A forensic unit visited the spot to collect evidence and examine the vehicle, and officers are reviewing CCTV recordings from the surrounding area to establish exactly how the incident unfolded.

With the three accused still unidentified, the next meaningful update will likely be about suspect descriptions, detentions, or arrests after the CCTV and forensic work is put together.
