7 OTT Releases to Watch This Week: Dasara Streaming Guide

Dasara week is here, and while theatres are busy rolling out their big festive releases, the streamers are putting up a slate that deserves equal billing. Between October 13 and 16, seven titles are confirmed across Netflix, JioHotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Sun NXT, ZEE5 and Sony LIV, with more likely to be added as the weekend gets closer.

The week at a glance

The confirmed dates make planning easy:

• October 13, Tyson on Netflix: A four-episode docu-series on boxing legend Mike Tyson, streaming in English, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil audio.
• October 14, Koffee with Karan Season 9 on JioHotstar: Karan Johar returns with the celebrity chat show in what is billed as its final season.
• October 15, The Traitors Telugu on Amazon Prime Video: Actor Teja Sajja hosts a reality game of alliances and mind games with 20 celebrities.
• October 16, Roadies Rebirth Season 21 on JioHotstar: The adventure reality format is back for a young audience.
• October 16, Kagitham Padavalu on Sun NXT: An emotional Telugu romantic drama starring Vardhan Gurrala and Krishnapriya.
• October 16, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa Season 2 on ZEE5: The light entertainer begins its second season.
• October 16, DC on Sony LIV: The Tamil blockbuster arrives in its Telugu dubbed version.

A festive line-up with a little of everything

The most striking thing about this slate is how wide it casts its net. Netflix is bringing a global sports story to Indian living rooms with local-language audio, which gives the Mike Tyson docu-series a chance beyond a documentary audience. JioHotstar is splitting its bets between glamour and adrenaline: Koffee with Karan Season 9 starts on October 14 as the final season, while Roadies Rebirth Season 21 follows on October 16 for the reality-competition crowd.

Prime Video’s big swing is The Traitors Telugu, a game of mind games and alliances with actor Teja Sajja as host and 20 celebrities in play. That format tends to live or die on casting and editing, and a regional host could help it feel closer to home for Telugu viewers.

On October 16, the day gets crowded in a good way. Sun NXT adds Kagitham Padavalu, an emotional Telugu romance. ZEE5 returns with the second season of Jayammu Nischayammu Raa. Sony LIV brings the Telugu-dubbed version of DC, a Tamil blockbuster that gives action fans a proven title. For audiences who follow cinema across languages, the real takeaway is access: a Tamil hit gets a Telugu dub, a global icon gets Indian audio, and a Telugu star hosts a format that often runs in Hindi or English.

How to build your watchlist

If you are a chatter-first viewer, start with Koffee with Karan Season 9 on October 14 because a final season tends to set social media talking before the week ends. If you love strategy and celebrity dynamics, keep October 15 free for The Traitors Telugu. If you only have one heavy streaming night, October 16 is the obvious pick because three titles arrive together, so you can switch by mood: romance, light entertainment or action.

Remember that these are the titles confirmed so far. More films could join the week as the Dasara weekend gets nearer, so it is worth checking your apps again before Friday.
