Lokesh Kanagaraj Teases AA23 Updates With Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj are still a team. On October 12, 2026, after months of silence around their tentatively titled film AA23, Lokesh posted a short message on social media: “Interesting updates coming soon.” He also shared a picture of himself with Allu Arjun, which was enough to put the project back at the centre of filmi chatter.

Why the shelving rumours began

AA23 was announced in early January this year with genuine fanfare. But Allu Arjun’s other film, Raaka, is already in production, and AA23 has had very little news since the announcement. That long gap pushed fans and trade watchers to wonder whether the two had parted ways or the film had been put on hold.

Lokesh did not explicitly respond to those rumours, but his post—and its tags for Allu Arjun, Mythri Official and Anirudh Ravichander—was widely read as a reassurance that the collaboration is intact.

What is confirmed so far

The honest status report is smaller than the buzz. Here is what is actually known at this point.

• AA23 was announced in early January 2026 with Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj attached.
• Anirudh Ravichander is on board as music composer, and Mythri Official is tagged in the director’s update.
• Reports suggest the script is being revised; there is no official word on casting, production schedule or release.

That last point matters. A tease is a promise of news, not the news itself. No plot detail, scale or language plan has been announced, so the film’s exact shape remains under wraps.

Why the trio carries extra weight

Allu Arjun’s box-office standing has grown sharply after the Pushpa franchise, making his next choices a talking point well beyond one language. Lokesh brings a fan following built on linked story worlds and action-heavy blockbusters. Anirudh adds a soundtrack name that can pull audiences on its own.

For Hindi film fans, the collaboration is a sign that the most anticipated mainstream titles now routinely come from the southern industries. AA23 isn’t just another big-name film; it is a package that can shape a theatrical season.

A post to enjoy, not overread

The fan-first approach is simple. Treat Lokesh’s message as a welcome signal that AA23 is alive, but do not convert it into a release date, title confirmation or shooting timeline. The makers have promised updates; until an official announcement lands, patience is the only reliable ticket.
