Orry says Sara Ali Khan never called in his tough phase

Orry told Double Date that Sara Ali Khan went silent during his hardest phase, and explains why he cannot repair the friendship without an apology.

Orry: Sara Ali Khan never called in his tough phase

Orry has finally spelled out why his friendship with Sara Ali Khan ended. The influencer and Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 contestant, born Orhan Awatramani, told Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi on Double Date that he stood by Sara through one of her hardest periods—but says she went silent when the roles reversed.

The remarks follow months of unfollows, a deleted post and sharp fan chatter around the two former friends.

A long friendship put to the test

Orry, 27, said he and Sara had known each other since childhood, stayed close through college and remained friends for another decade. He recalled being with her in Goa while she was navigating “a very big case” and said he never left her side.

But when he hit his own difficult phase, he claims Sara did not call once to check in. “For once in my life, when she had to be there, she disappeared,” he said.

He also touched on the support he had offered her family. “When the tables turned, you had to be there for me just once, and you could not even make a phone call,” he said.

The Amrita Singh chapter

Orry spoke separately about friction with Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh. He said Amrita once scolded him and spoke about him to other people, an episode that damaged the bond and led him to unfollow her.

He added that he cannot simply pick up the friendship while the incident remains unaddressed. He has not received an apology, and he does not see a way back without one.

That stance matters because it turns a social-media feud into a larger question of accountability and loyalty between two very public figures.

Khatron Ke Khiladi changed his friend list

Orry is currently competing on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, and says the show forced him to reassess people he considered close. He was disappointed that some did not publicly back him during an experience he described as mentally and physically demanding.

  • He expected his circle to share or at least like his participation posts.
  • According to him, some did not do either.
  • He saw the silence as more hurtful because the show changed how people viewed him.
  • He summed it up with one short verdict: “They turned out to be snakes.”

Why fans are watching closely

The fallout turned public in January 2026, when Orry posted and later deleted an Instagram Reel naming Sara, Amrita and Palak as the “three worst names”. Many followers read those names as Sara Ali Khan, Amrita Singh and Palak Tiwari. Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan later unfollowed Orry, though he says he had already unfollowed them.

Another viral moment followed when a user asked what the bra on his outfit was holding together, and Orry replied with a reference to Sara’s film hits. Many took it as a dig at her career. Sara has largely avoided talking about the dispute, and no public reconciliation has happened.

For Total Filmi readers, the significance runs slightly deeper than the gossip. In modern Bollywood, follows, likes and story mentions have become a public audit of loyalty—and Orry is now describing what happens when that audit fails.
