Rashmika Mandanna Tells Vijay ‘I Love You’ 15-20 Times a Day

Rashmika Mandanna opens up on saying 'I love you' 15-20 times a day to Vijay Deverakonda and why small efforts matter after marriage.

Rashmika’s 15-20 daily ‘I love yous’ to Vijay

Rashmika Mandanna is not leaving love to guesswork. As she and Vijay Deverakonda prepare for the October 16 theatrical release of Ranabaali—their first film together since their wedding—the actor has been talking about what keeps their relationship steady off screen.

‘I love you,’ 15-20 times a day

On Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Rashmika said she tells Vijay “I love you” at least 15 to 20 times every day. The habit, she explained, comes from a simple belief: communication should not fade after marriage.

“Communication is very important to me,” she said, adding that couples often stop expressing love because they assume their partner already knows how they feel.

For Rashmika, the repetition is deliberate. She said she has told Vijay she will keep saying it, because expressing love should never become secondary.

Rashmika’s admission fits a larger point she has been making in recent podcast appearances: love survives less on grand declarations and more on repeated, small reassurances. That can sound obvious, but couples often stop offering the basics once a relationship feels settled.

Why small efforts still matter

Speaking with Prakhar Gupta, Rashmika agreed with the idea that love can be like a car driving itself. But she added that no relationship can run on autopilot forever.

“We human beings always need to keep making efforts for those people who we love, because very often, we make a lot of effort for everyone else other than the people at our own house,” she said.

She pointed to the greetings couples abandon after marriage—good morning, asking how the day went, checking if a partner is okay. Her view: those should continue even after years together, and even after kids.

The daily habits Rashmika swears by

  • Say “I love you” at least 15-20 times a day, even if it feels repetitive.
  • Keep basic greetings and check-ins alive instead of assuming your partner knows.
  • Put conscious effort into the person at home, not just outsiders.
  • Treat small gestures as love, not as chores.

None of this is framed as relationship science; it is simply what the actor says works for her. Still, the advice is actionable because it names the exact moments couples tend to drop—mornings, check-ins and the words that used to come easily.

Why it lands now

The release calendar makes the comments especially timely. Ranabaali, a period feature, opens on October 16 and marks Rashmika and Vijay’s first joint film since their Udaipur wedding. The promotional conversations are therefore doing double duty: talking up the film and offering a rare window into the couple’s personal relationship.

For an audience that follows these two across Hindi and Telugu cinema, the takeaway is practical. Long-term affection, in Rashmika’s telling, is not a one-time promise but a collection of small, repeated choices.
