Arijit Singh’s ‘Phir Se’ Lands on Grammy Consideration List

Phir Se from Dhurandhar: The Revenge is on the Grammy longlist for Best Song Written For Visual Media, but an official nomination is still ahead.

Arijit Singh's 'Phir Se' from Dhurandhar makes Grammy consideration list

Arijit Singh’s Phir Se from Dhurandhar: The Revenge has entered the Grammy consideration list in the Best Song Written For Visual Media category. The singer confirmed the milestone on Instagram, thanking listeners and pointing fans to details of the submissions.

That wording matters: this is not a nomination. A place on the consideration list is the early stage, and the song must still clear the Recording Academy’s eligibility review and voting rounds before it can claim a spot among the final nominees.

What this Grammy campaign includes

The campaign is being run by T-Series and B62 Studios, and it is bigger than one song. Alongside Phir Se, the team has put the film’s soundtrack album and several individual tracks forward across categories such as global music, Asian pop, songwriting, rap, dance and electronic recordings.

  • Aari Aari
  • Jaan Se Guzarte Hain
  • Kanhaiyya
  • Jaiye Sajana

The ambition is simple: give the music of Dhurandhar: The Revenge a real shot in front of international voters and audiences.

The song’s emotional beat

The soundtrack has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil and Kumaar and additional contributions from Bombay Rockers on specific tracks. Phir Se lands near the film’s closing stretch, as Jaskirat Singh Rangi makes his way home after completing his mission in Pakistan, giving the ending its emotional pull.

Why Indian film music is watching

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has turned into one of India’s biggest recent film properties. The franchise’s combined Indian box-office collections have crossed Rs 3,000 crore, with the first film releasing in December 2025 and Dhurandhar: The Revenge following in March 2026. Ranveer Singh leads the cast, with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.

For Bollywood music fans, the takeaway is clear: the field is opening, but the final lap is still to come. A consideration listing is a meaningful global nod, not the finish line.
