Dhurandhar: The Revenge mounts eight-song Grammy campaign
Eight Dhurandhar: The Revenge songs are in the Grammy conversation, but the awards push is a campaign—not a nomination yet.

T-Series and B62 Studios have put the Dhurandhar: The Revenge soundtrack squarely on the awards-season map, entering eight songs for Grammy consideration across a wide set of categories. The campaign is built around composer Shashwat Sachdev, with tracks such as Phir Se, Aari Aari and Jaiye Sajana leading the push.
That kind of visibility can introduce a Bollywood soundtrack to listeners and voters who may never have heard it otherwise. It also comes with an important distinction: this is a campaign, not a nomination.
Where the songs are placed
The campaign listing puts Sachdev forward under Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, which recognises the film’s soundtrack as a body of work. Individual songs have been submitted as follows:
- Phir Se — Best Song Written for Visual Media
- Jaan Se Guzarte Hai and Kanhaiyya — Best Global Music Performance
- Aari Aari — Best Asian Pop Music Performance
- Jaiye Sajana — Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
- Destiny – Mann Atkeya — Best Rap Performance
- Vaari Jaavan — Best Dance/Electronic Recording
- Hum Pyaar Karne Wale — Best Remixed Recording
It’s a broad pitch that covers pop, rap, dance and global-music lanes at once, which can help the film reach different Grammy voting blocs.
Consideration is only the first step
Being “entered for consideration” means the songs are being promoted to Recording Academy voters ahead of the eligibility and voting process. The entries will still have to clear the Academy’s rules and make it through balloting before anything becomes an actual nomination.
For Indian film music, a Grammy campaign is often as much about discoverability as trophies: it gives a composer an international calling card and keeps a title in conversation beyond its release window. In this case, the push is also well timed for the film’s team.
Director Aditya Dhar was recently at the 72nd National Film Awards in Kevadia, Gujarat, where his wife Yami Gautam won Best Actress for Article 370, which he produced. Asked about Dhurandhar on the red carpet, he said: “We are here for Article 370. We will discuss Dhurandhar. Hopefully we come next year also, but today it is all about Article 370.”
Don’t miss the TV premiere
Whether or not the Grammy path turns into nominations, viewers can revisit the film soon. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled to premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, at 7 pm. The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal.
